A Simple Day

I think I'm turning (more) crazy. :P

Well, it started with a simple flower cake. I selected sky blue flowers with variety tone and couldn't help myself putting these colorful butterflies on. But if you ask me, the part I like most is the greenish 'grass' . :D

Something Else...

Other than cookie. I tried these 'cookies' out and used them for cakes. They surely are pretty cute and adorable as cookies, but I would like to know if there is anything else I can do and 'play' with them. And here we go! :)

One is 'kitty in the garden' cake. Imagine your little kitten playing in the spring garden in a beautiful day. There are flowers, green trees, sunshine, and so on. I love the idea though. ;)


Another one, still in spring theme, is chocolate cake with pretty pink flowers and delightful yellow butterflies flying all around as if you are looking out into your beautiful garden. I need a longggggggggggg vacation! ;)

Let's Box The Spring

Yeah, right! I'm still making box(es). lol Obsessed and so addicted! It's fun though, eventually. ;)

This time I tried something else, instead of patterned paper I use plain color paper (and such) and instead of ribbon I used mulberry paper flowers. Don't look bad eh? Anyway, they are still cake/bakery box. :P

Spring Has Sprung

After all... :)

And this year my first spring cake is a fairy's early spring garden with butterflies. The cake sit on a green 'lawn' and flowers are blooming all around. You can see soil and the melting snow. *whisper - have a closer look...* ;)

Oh well, I'm in my 'fairytale' mood. :)

Very Strawberry

Strawberry is a popular fruit for miniature cake and pastry decoration, whole fruit and sliced. The strawberry is also used as a symbolic of heart and love, due to its heart-like shape...

I used to make only whole fruit strawberry for my miniature and dreamed of sliced strawberry for my minis. I tried some experiments to get sliced strawberry. It was fun and frustrating at the same time. lol There were times that I did nothing else but fruit canes, piles of scrap clay all over and such time is still around...

And I got an order to make strawberry cakes, tarts and cupcakes. The condition was that the minis might have strawberry as one of the toppings and decorations. I have to admit that this order was a fun order to make. I had to stick with strawberry and vary other components to make all of them different with one thing in common, strawberry. They came out nicely.

Here are 4 of those from the order. Strawberry- kiwi-orange-banana Charlotte cake, strawberry-banana double chocolate cake, strawberry-kiwi tart and vanilla cream strawberry cake. These minis are in special 1:12th scale order, slightly bigger than regular 1:12th size. Don't they look yum? ;)
