Back with the Bakes

Vacation is over! Felt like it was just a dream. Time does fly! :P

I'm back with a couple new cakes, but still can't catch up with my mini-clay play schedule.
Also have some new boxes which need to be filled. Whom to complain to? I need 48 hours a day! lol

Both my Etsy and Dawanda shops are back on active again. Please pay them a visit or two. :)

Wish you all a great day!
Rachel :)

Something Else...

Other than cookie. I tried these 'cookies' out and used them for cakes. They surely are pretty cute and adorable as cookies, but I would like to know if there is anything else I can do and 'play' with them. And here we go! :)

One is 'kitty in the garden' cake. Imagine your little kitten playing in the spring garden in a beautiful day. There are flowers, green trees, sunshine, and so on. I love the idea though. ;)

Another one, still in spring theme, is chocolate cake with pretty pink flowers and delightful yellow butterflies flying all around as if you are looking out into your beautiful garden. I need a longggggggggggg vacation! ;)

A Beautiful Day

Time for sunlight, flowers and fruits! :) If you are on diet this menu could be one of your choice only that you may have to eat more fruit and less chocolate. ;)

You can also select your favorite fruit, make it more variety. Eat alone or with friend(s) and your loved one(s).

Available at my Etsy shop. :)

Food Sets

Something different! :D I decided to tried mini food sets out. The concept was a set of food for one person ready to serve on a wooden tray. They came out quite nicely! The dishes and plates are not glue to the tray so, you can re-arrange them as you like. Isn't it fun to be able to 'play' quite a bit? ;)

Spring Cake

Spring is not far away and soon flowers will start to bloom. I love thinking about tiny green hill with small wild flowers blooming all over. Strawberry will start to flower and next will be yummy, tiny red strawberry. Long daylight and bright sunshine day... Love them!

I made this tiny pink cake inspired by rose bouquet and flower basket.

Let's go pick some flowers for dinner table!

Wedding Cake

This week I made a couple of cake and fruit cupcakes (and yes, I like a few and will keep them in my private collection). :D

One of the cakes I made is a 1-tier wedding cake. I like the white rose bouquet topping and the decorating pearls. I love the swirling green leaves, I think they look nice that way. :)

I also tried another design for a blue cream strawberry cake. With a fast glance, the cake look alike and similar to the blue cream cake I made. But there are things different, flower color, arrangements, pollen, etc. Not bad... :)

My Very First Miniature Cakes

I really have no real idea why I started making my very first miniature cakes as 3-tier wedding cakes which, seen from now, is more complicate than 1-tier cake...

My first cakes were white cream 3-tier wedding cake decorated with chocolate flowers, 3-tier chocolate cake in flower petal shaped decorated with colorful roses and the third one was a 2-tier chocolate cake in heart shaped decorated with leaves and tiny flowers. I do not have pictures of these cakes any longer. But, they are in my heart. I still remember those time of difficulties with trial and error of 'learning by doing' as if it was just happened...

All cakes I made are out of my own custom design inspired by real cakes and flower bouquets. I enjoy making chocolate cake and chocolate cake with colorful topping/decoration.

Strange thing is after these 3-tier cakes, I, then, made 1:24th scale cakes. At that time I do not know about scales. I only know that those I bought and collect are rather too big and need space which I do not have that plenty. Therefore, I just grab a color pen cap and started to punch the cake body out and decorated them with my tiny, handmade flowers (yes, they were mostly flowered cakes).

Later on, I realized that I have big and small hand day. Some days I just can't make things small and other days I simply can only make tiny stuff...
