Hm.. Yum!

:)

I've been super busy over the last weeks. Things and things all the time. However, some are done and I'm having my spare time back little by little
.

And here are my latest mini-works, ice cream. One of them is now on my Etsy shop (the oval plate) while the round plate will be ready to be listed by tomorrow. Working with ADC is just like this. :)

Got some new wrapping papers to play with. Woo Hoo!!! ;)

Have a joyful weekend,
Rachel :)

A Beautiful Day

Time for sunlight, flowers and fruits! :) If you are on diet this menu could be one of your choice only that you may have to eat more fruit and less chocolate. ;)

You can also select your favorite fruit, make it more variety. Eat alone or with friend(s) and your loved one(s).

Available at my Etsy shop. :)

Chocolate Cake

Most of the time, most of the time. Don't ask what my fav. cake in real, but for miniatures I love making chocolate cake and this is my newest one! :) I, too, made new style strawberries. I like this style. :D

With a closer look the strawberries are so cute (IMAO). And in all this cake looks pretty yum. I wish it's edible (and big).....

Butter Cookie

Sunday! What to do this on this Sunday? Still cold and freezing? Let's bake some cookies! :)

I like many kind of cookie, but my forever favorite is butter cookie. So, let's bake some! :D

This time I tried circular prep. board for the cookie, doesn't look bad to me. I also tried making spilled egg on the prep. board. lol I will try again for my next egg-related prep. board. ;)

Freshly Baked...

What would you like to eat after Christmas and New Year food? Something a bit different, tasty and yum? :) I do agree!

Here I made a new food prep board, chicken curry puff. You can add other ingredient(s) as you like to make the puff tasty or spicy. I kinda like mild taste of chicken curry puff and not so spicy. Hmmmm... ;)

One thing I like about making miniature is to make something new even if often that I came up with totally no idea about what to make. I may like things and want to make what other miniature artisan(s) made but, to give respect to friends who are in the same field of 'work' I try not to do so. And try new things bring me great fun and good feeling.

I'm back! :)

Coloring The Clay

I've been 'playing' with ADC for quite a while with a couple different 'brand' or whatever so called. As ADC comes in translucent white (rarely come in white) therefore, once you would like to make the clay into something you need to add color to it.

Color used:

You can use almost (I said almost because I did not try all type of the color available yet) artist color: water color, poster color, oil color, acrylic color, etc. Just add them into the clay and knead the mixtures to get even color.

Water and poster color give pastel tone of color while acrylic and oil color give you stronger color. However, it's depend on the way you mix the color. If you are familiar with color and painting, I'm sure you can make it out whatever you want.

I, finally, finished my bakery house! :D It's so fun with all these 'clay play'!
I warn you... ;)

New 1:12th Scale Cakes!

I managed to finish these cakes just last weekend. One 'classy' look (to me) is the yellow dome shaped cake. The cake is topped with purple roses and decorated with purple and orange morning glory flowers. It reminds me to a beautiful pale yellow fabric with beautiful, tiny flowers I saw somewhere in the past...

I've been busy lately and did not do much on cakes and mini-stuff. Anyway, I plan to try a 1/4" scale cake on this coming weekend. There are things I would like to try out but, so little time to do (or it's that I'm too lazy?). lol
