Pie Crust:
I just added another easy tutorial for mini-beginner to try out. You can use your own imagination to decorate your mini-food.

Have fun and hope to hear how things come out! :)

tried making the lime cane but it didnt turn out well ! ): when i roll the limecane the colour seem to mix together and the end result is not very nice D;

Mine didn't come out in good shape on my first tries as well. lol It's the step you used when reducing the size. Just don't roll the cane down too fast. Do squeeze and lengthen along the cane as much as you can and then, roll.

Hope you made it on the scoop too. Have fun!

Your tutorials are real inspiring. Can you please tell me what clay are you using? Does jumping clay create the same effect?

I'm very very new to clay and jumping clay seems to be very difficult to knead out the shape that I want.

Please help, thanks (:

Hi! :)

I'm glad you like my tutorials. I'm now using cold porcelain and Japanese Luna clay like I mentioned in my blog welcome message. I, personally, never tried Jumping clay for miniature. I've seen they are widely used this type of clay mainly for larger scale sculpture/modeling items.

I'll have to have a closer look on this type of clay and its application. :)

Hi! I love your tutorials... they're alot better then the ones I put on my blog that i found from others, I a planning to put my own. I need a new camera. Lol. How do you get no fingerprints on the clay??
My sculpey is $4 from Michaels in Canada. Do you know where clay is cheap in Vancouver BC?

Hi Emily,

Try to dust your clay with corn starch before you work with and clean out with paint brush when you finish your work. I hope this work well for you.

Rachel :)
