Vacation is over! Felt like it was just a dream. Time does fly! :P
I'm back with a couple new cakes, but still can't catch up with my mini-clay play schedule.
Also have some new boxes which need to be filled. Whom to complain to? I need 48 hours a day! lol
Both my Etsy and Dawanda shops are back on active again. Please pay them a visit or two. :)
Wish you all a great day!
Rachel :)
Yeah, right! I'm still making box(es). lol Obsessed and so addicted! It's fun though, eventually. ;)
This time I tried something else, instead of patterned paper I use plain color paper (and such) and instead of ribbon I used mulberry paper flowers. Don't look bad eh? Anyway, they are still cake/bakery box. :P

After all... :)
And this year my first spring cake is a fairy's early spring garden with butterflies. The cake sit on a green 'lawn' and flowers are blooming all around. You can see soil and the melting snow. *whisper - have a closer look...* ;)
Oh well, I'm in my 'fairytale' mood. :)
I love their color!
Pastel, pastel, pastel, I love pastel color....... *^^*
I make 2 different size cupcake, in 1:12th scale - regular and king cupcake. These are regular size.
Available upon request at my Etsy Shop (other than this depends on my mood :P).
Have a pretty pastel Sunday! *^^*
Wanna take home? You'll get it right away! *pack* *pack* *pack* Here you go! :)
You know that I'm not good at paper-box things. I tried to make different kind of box from tutorials with techniques just wanted to make mini-box for my mini-bakeries and chocolates. It just seemed like box making is not for me... This one is my latest try, quite happy with the result though but there are things to be corrected and improved. I'm not yet giving up! ;)
*blush* I know that you knew it even before I started this blog entry...
I really like this pair of earring, I like the vintage look of copper wire and color combination of chocolate cupcake and the yellow flower.
Sending you a tiny 'pretty' feeling...
*hugs*
Rachel :)
Another sand clay items I've made. I named this one 'time in a bottle'. The bottled flowers are together with sand clay lid.
I'm getting ready for my vacation. Woo Hooooo! I'm now on my miniature break - only lazy around, eat and sleep. :P I try to put miniature things aside until I'm back with new things in my head. :)
It's also difficult not to go online as often as I used to do (yes, I know I'm addicted). lol I'm planning to get back to my wood work, crochet and paper craft things even if my wood work doesn't seem to go anywhere, but it's fun and I can't just stay away from it once I've 'chance'. ;) Oh, I hope it will be better once I 'grow up' enough. :D
Yessssss! Let the sun shine in, flowers are blooming! :) It's such a good feeling with all these flowers around and you can see I'm so much into flower cake! lol
My previous flower cakes were with plain, mono-tone flower. Like plain red, purple, yellow, etc. Playing with shade and tone makes the flower cake nicer. I saw it but I didn't get it (by then). :|
Just got a message from one of my mini-jewelry customer that she enjoy the bracelet she ordered and got many compliments on it too. I'm so happy to hear that. I made the mini-jewelry with dollhouse miniature quality and details and glad that all my effort I put on the work are noticed!
Life is beautiful, just let the sun shine in... :)
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet;
And so are you...
And my version is:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I am here *look around*,
And there are you!
Sweet isn't it? :D
This miniature cake is also sweet. I made this cake using pinkish tone flowers as main theme and tiny pale/pastel color flowers as decoration. The heart of the cake are deep pink roses surrounded with orange-pink roses and white rose buds. Beneath the roses are tiny 4 petals light green, yellow, pale lilac, pale blue flowers.
The cake is in white cream color with decorating cream wrapping around. I, normally, make chocolate cake for flower cake. I love dark color of the cake which drives beautiful color of the decorating flowers, it gives nice contrast. But white cream cake made flower cake soft and sweet. Love it! :)
Another way to admire and show-off miniature for miniature collector and handmade lover!
1. Display them regular way with your miniature collection or in dolls house
2. Use them as ornament to decorate your place that you, your friend and family can see them more often!
3. Alternative way, make them jewelry (pin, ring, brooch, charm, pendant, earrings, hair clip, etc.) and wear them to party, lunch, dinner with your folks!
Moreover, you can give these mini-jewelry to people in your life even if they do not collect miniature or doll house and they can use/make used of them! One benefit of the miniature jewelry are that they are handmade so, you will get unique, OOAK item, no 'twins'.
Is your friend on diet and her birthday is coming closer? A miniature cake pendant weight a few gram yet, zero calories! Looking for a special Valentine's gift for your girlfriend? A pair of miniature red rose earring would be perfect! And if you do not like rose, you can select other kind of flower to tell her how much you love her, each flower has different meaning...
